An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

March 28

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. (Joshua 10:25)
Have you ever been discouraged and thinking that you were on the losing side? We sing “Victory In Jesus”, but sometimes when the battle is raging, we don’t really believe it. Hold up you head that hangs down. Lift up your discouraged heart. Fear not defeat; you are on the winning side! The Lord encouraged Joshua, and Joshua encouraged his people. They were afraid and dismayed, like we sometimes get, but they failed to see the whole picture. Some battles may be rough; some nights may be long. You may be injured, tired and discouraged. Just remember, the Lord is looking down from Heaven above and directing the fight. With Him in control, you are a winner! ~
