MY TESTIMONY:
God is so good to me! I have failed him many times, but He has never failed me. The greatest event of my life happened June 14, 1961 at Camp Joy, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. That's when I repented of my sins, and trusted Jesus Christ as my savior. Since that day of my salvation, my Lord and my God has been faithful to me.
On the evening of March 19, 1967 the Lord called me to preach the gospel. Since that time I have been blessed to have been in all 50 states and 17 countries, and have preached thousands of sermons. Yet my greatest thrill is to see a soul come to Jesus.
My number one goal in life is to please my Lord, who saved me!
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; (Isaiah 61:1) To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (Isaiah 61:2) To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3)
