An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

March 25

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYThis book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
I’ve heard of a minister who said, “I’m going to do what God said, not matter what the Bible says.” Now, that’s foolishness. The Bible is the word of God, and the Lord will never contradict what the Bible says. God’s word is so vital to our survival and success! For ages men have tried to be successful without consulting God’s word. They all fail! Our faith and our practice should be dictated by God’s holy word. We are to speak, to meditate in, to observe, and to do all that is written therein. By doing so, we are guaranteed prosperity and success. What a promise! Read your Bible every day. Observe and consider the written word as important as if God Himself were sitting beside you and speaking these words in your ears. You will fall in love with its truths, you will be blessed by its wisdom, and you will find that its solutions really work! Joshua 1:8 is my life’s verse. Do you see why? ~~
