SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYChasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. (Proverbs 19:18)
Many years ago Dr. Spock promoted his philosophy on raising kids. At that time he had no children, yet he somehow became an “expert” on raising kids. His main emphasis was that we use no corporal punishment on children. His advice simply did not work. Children are not be beaten or abused; however, the word of God clearly teaches that there are times when a good spanking on the rear end is the right thing to do. For thousands of years parents have lovingly corrected their children by giving them a much needed spanking. As adults now we can look back and see that when the board of education was applied to the seat of learning it produced fruits of wisdom, understanding and discretion that guide us today. Parent, it is your choice. You may follow God or Dr. Spock. Take God’s advice; His son was perfect! ~~~
