An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

July 17

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAY He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

What a wonderful world our creator has made! God must have enjoyed those six days of creation. With delight He made every flower with its radiance and fragrance. Maybe God had fun creating the animals with all their interesting details, making them diverse one from another. He must have smiled as he brushed all the fish and birds with their brilliant colors. One of the highlights must have been when He made the beautiful mountains and valleys and filled them with streams, rivers, lakes, trees and wild plants of all kinds. I believe the pinnacle of His creation happened on the sixth day when He formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into him the breath of life and man became a living eternal soul. When I see this beautiful world I think, “My God must really love me! ~~
