SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul. (1 Chronicles 13:3)
After David became king, his heart’s desire was to bring the Ark of the Covenant, a symbol of God’s presence and blessing, back to Jerusalem from the house of Abinadab in Kirjathjearim where it had been for twenty years. Oh that a godly leader would rise up in America today and desire the presence of God! America was founded on God and His principles. His word is inscribed upon the mighty buildings and monuments that adorn our capital, yet our leaders in Washington work tirelessly to take God away from every facet of our society. They refuse our children the right to pray or to read the Bible in school. They removed the Ten Commandments from a courthouse in Alabama. They permit the killing of the innocent unborn, and legitimize the marriage of sodomites. What a shame! Pray for America and its leaders before God’s judgment falls. ~~~
