SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYLo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psalm 127:3)
One of the greatest blessings in this life is to bear children and to have the opportunity to raise them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Children (and grandchildren) are sometimes a challenge and sometimes will break your heart; however, the blessings far outweigh the burdens. In Deuteronomy 6 God challenged Israel to teach their children the Word of God. They were to pass down from generation to generation the training found in scripture. We are told in the Proverbs to train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The Apostle Paul commended young Timothy on his faith, stating that it was the result of the training that had come from his grandmother and mother. A child raised according to the Bible will bring many blessings and that is great reward! ~~~
