SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYFor I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods. (Psalm 135:5)
Psalm 135 encourages us to praise and give thanks to the living God. It points out that some have idol gods of gold and silver, made by men. They have mouths, eyes and ears, yet they do not speak, see, hear or breathe. On the other hand, our God is alive! He has done great wonders in the past. Israel is reminded of all the wonders of their deliverance from Egypt and of victories over great kings and nations who opposed them on their journey to the Promised Land. That same God is ours today. He stands ready to answer our prayers miraculously. How many times do we read the stories of the Old Testament and rejoice in their deliverance, yet we seem not to realize that the God of Israel is also the God of Christians. Lean on Him today; He is ready to bless you! ~~~
