An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

February 27

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. (Numbers 13:30)
God had promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey. After journeying from Mount Horeb for eleven days they came to the southern part of the Promised Land to a place called Kadesh-Barnea. There they sent twelve spies to check out the land and report back to them. Ten of the spies returned with an evil report of giants and walled cities. Caleb and Joshua saw the land in a different way. Although the cities were walled and giants lived there, they spoke of victoriously overcoming every obstacle. They believed that what God had promised, He was able to perform. Let’s be positive today, and with God’s strength, we will overcome any obstacle in our paths. ~
