SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYThe LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)
Have you ever been afraid? In his fear, David would remember three things: (1) God was his light, (2) God was his salvation, and (3) God was the strength of his life. When our pathway is darkened so we cannot see the way clear in front of us, we look up to the Lord, and He lightens our path and whispers, “This is the way.” When our pathway is rocky and our steps are unsure, he reminds us that He is our salvation. When we expend all our energy on a task that is too overwhelming, we then feel that inner strength which only comes from Him, and at that moment know that we will make it! ~
