SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. (Genesis 28:16)
Visiting a very sick man in the hospital I shared with him this verse. I reminded him that even though his heart cries out in the midst of his distress, “Where is God?” that God was indeed there in the room giving him strength to survive the ordeal. Jacob got into a lot of trouble. Fleeing from the wrath of Esau, he placed a rock under his head and went to sleep. There he dreamed a wonderful dream of a ladder stretching from earth to Heaven with angels ascending and descending upon it. He awoke and cried, “The Lord is in this place!” Are you going through a trial? Remember, our loving God is there with you! ~
