SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYSing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. (Psalm 98:5)
In Psalm 98:5 we find one of many commands encouraging us to use both our voices and instruments of music to praise the Lord. Both voices and instruments may be used wrongly to glorify drugs, booze, loose living, or even the devil; however, they may also be used to glorify God. Revelation 14 tells of saints standing before the throne and singing praise to God as they play on their harps. I believe even those of us who are not so talented down here will be able to play those instruments of praise there! Sit at your piano, pick up your guitar, or turn on your CD, and lift your voice in praise to the Lord today. ~
