An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word
March 4
SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYO God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; (Psalm 63:1)
We do not know God as we should until we develop a thirst from our soul for His presence. Until we are homesick for His house, and until we hunger for His word, how can we say they we love Him with all our soul, heart, mind and strength? You will not find what your soul desires out there in the world. All of its amusements cannot fulfill the longings of your soul. You can turn to drugs or alcohol for fulfillment, but those things will not quench your soul’s thirst. Until you live a surrendered and disciplined life you will never have God’s best. Yield totally to the Lord today, and He will quench your thirst. ~
