An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

March 3

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYWho can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his! (Numbers 23:10)
Many times I have driven by a house that was half completed. Its walls were up with holes cut for windows and doors. It even had a roof over it, though not finished. After years in that condition I asked, “Why is it not finished?” “Not enough money,” was the reply. It’s always good to pause and count the cost before we build. Likewise it is good to assure the destination of a road before we travel it. Many travel down a road of sin from their youth, unconcerned of what the end result will be. Foolishly they plunge into hell too late to turn back. Check the road you’re traveling. Make sure your destination is Heaven! ~
