Junior and the Book
Junior kicked the meter man,
Junior bit the cook.
Junior is antisocial now,
According to the book.
Junior smashed the clock and lamp;
Junior hacked a tree.
Destructive trends are treated
In Chapters two and three.
Junior threw his milk at mom;
Junior screamed for more.
Notes of self-assertiveness
Are found in Chapter four.
Junior threw his shoes and socks
Right out in the rain.
The book says, ”that is normal;
Just disregard the stain.”
Junior got in grandpa’s room
He tore up his fishing line.
That is to get attention,
According to page eighty-nine.
Grandpa grabbed a belt,
Jerked junior across his knee.
You see, Grandpa hasn’t read a book
Since 1993!
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine ... (Proverbs 17:22)
