An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

December 31

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (Revelation 21:5)

“Behold, I make all things new,” God declares. What an opportunity we have once a year to put the old year in the past and begin anew! Three hundred and sixty-five days lay before us like an artist's canvas, each day is ready to be made into whatever we desire. Although circumstances may influence the design, the majority of what is painted there is up to us. We are free moral agents with a free will to make of life what we want it to be. Put the errors of the past behind you and resolve to make this year the best ever. Aspire to be like Jesus as you set goals for the coming year. Take time to pray, plan and prepare every morning, and you will always be able to look back with satisfaction at the most important piece of art ever - your life! ~~
