An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

December 26

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAfter this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. (Revelation 4:1)

When Jesus comes again a trumpet will sound, the call “come up hither” will resound throughout the heavens and a door will be opened in Heaven. All of us have experienced closed doors down here. Maybe because of social standing, financial status, etc. some doors are just not opened to us; however the most important door of all, the door to Heaven, will be opened to all who know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. While Jesus was walking upon this earth He declared, “I am the door.” There is no other way to Heaven. If you ever expect to walk through the door to Heaven, you must first get personally acquainted with the door, Jesus Christ. ~
