An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

December 22

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYBut if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)

Our walk is so important! We are encouraged to walk as Jesus walked. Now those are big shoes to fill. In the gospel of John we are told that Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and that if we follow Him we will not walk in darkness. God’s children are not of this dark world. Those who observe our walk should see a distinct difference between our lives and those of the worldly crowd. You cannot have fellowship with the Lord if you do not walk in His light. By walking in the light you are assured of His cleansing blood. Walk in the footsteps of Jesus today and let His glorious light shine through you. ~~
