An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

December 19

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYForasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1:18-19)

Starting through this journey called life, we were lost, helpless and without hope. Our destiny was dark, knowing that at the end of this journey we would plunge into the flames of an eternal hell. Jesus, seeing our destitution, did what no one else could, nor would do; He left Heaven and came to us. He willingly came to this earth that first Christmas, then thirty-three years later He redeemed us. The price of that redemption was awesome; the price was HIS BLOOD! No plan so great had ever been made; No price so great had ever been paid, Till Jesus so lovingly on the cross laid, With His own precious blood redemption was made. PRAISE GOD! ~
