An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

October 25

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (Mark 12:30)

God demands total commitment. These four areas (heart, soul, mind, and strength) make up every facet of your life. Loving the Lord Jesus Christ with every part of your being your being will change you and change the world around you. The Lord does not want part of us; it’s all or nothing. Half-heartiness is characteristic of many church members today. They want the security of being saved, yet they want to dabble in the worldliness around them. That kind of life displeases the Lord. Resolve in your heart to be faithful to God in every area of your life. Surrender your entire being to Him today and be blessed at what He will do through you! ~
