An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

October 22

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYWhen Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. (Mark 2:5)

Jesus is the answer to all our problems! Four people brought their friend to Jesus. His obvious problem was palsy, yet Jesus could see an even greater problem, sin. The Lord looks into our heart and sees what no one else can. When Jesus forgave the man of his sins folks were astonished. They asked, “How could this man forgive sins?” Little did they know that this man was more than a man born of woman; He was indeed God, the Son, enwrapped in human flesh. His purpose in coming into this world was to give His life as a sacrificial lamb so all who trust Him as their Lord and Savior are forgiven of their sins. No one else could ever do what He can. Only Jesus can forgive sins! ~~
