An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

October 3

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYHe hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Micah 6:8)

“To do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God” is a big command! What a difference it would make if we all lived by its precepts. This scripture tells us that this policy is good; and furthermore, the Lord requires that standard for our lives. Since it is a requirement, we should daily practice it. It should be so tightly woven into the fabric of our lives that all would know where we stand with God. Meditate on these things: (1) Do justly, (2) love mercy, and (3) walk humbly with thy God. Get up every morning with a resolution to live that day by these three guidelines. You will be blessed! ~
