An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

September 18

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYIt was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there. (Ezekiel 48:35)

The Lord is There! What a great name for a city, church or country. Israel of old was known as the country where the might God dwelt. Before America kicked God out of our schools, public places, and essentially our lives, she had a reputation as a Godly nation. One of the greatest testimonies of a church is when first time visitors leave services saying, “The Lord is there!” They must be impressed by more than friendly faces, a beautiful choir or an intelligent sermon; they must feel the presence of the Lord and know He lives there. Others can witness God’s presence in our lives by our walk. Does your daily walk agree with your talk? ~
