An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

September 12

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYIn that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 29:21)

God not only has power to bring down, but He also has power to restore and rebuild. Because of Israel’s sin, God had removed His wall of protection around them. Enemies came and carried them away into captivity, wasting their land; their lives were in shambles. When they finally repented and cried unto God, He blessed and restored them. Does Israel of old remind you of America today? We take away prayer from the schools, and commandments from public places. The sanctity of human life has been debased as our ungodly leaders have ruled that it is alright to murder the innocent unborn babies. We see the rapid decline of respect for God, His sanctuary, and His holy day. God’s judgment has come and will continue to come until we repent and turn back to God, then the Lord will restore the greatness that America once was. ~~~
