An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYWhen a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. (Ezekiel 18:26)
Israel thought just because they had been righteous in the past that everything would be all right in the present. God tells them that they had turned away from Him and sinned, and that they would die in their sins, since they refused to repent. We need to keep our lives pure and holy, and be faithful. There is no temptation that comes along to which we are forced to yield. The Lord promised a way of escape. You have a free will to choose your steps. Will you follow God or Satan? Satan is always trying to pull you back; but remember, “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.” ~
