An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

September 5

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYSo will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 6:14)

Sometimes the Lord has to bring us down that we might in the end know that He is the Lord. God will not give His glory to another; He will be glorified. When His people forsook Him, the Lord made their land desolate. He permitted their enemies to conquer them. He knew that when they were brought low, they would again turn to Him. America has been blessed of God above all others; however, if this nation does not turn to the Lord He will have no choice but to take away His blessings so that the people will once again honor Him. Let’s turn back to the standards of God’s holy word and again honor Him! ~
