SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYBut fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. (Jeremiah 46:27)
In the midst of the prophecy of the punishment of many evil nations, including Judah, the Lord proclaims the promise that Judah would one day return and be restored. They must indeed suffer for their sins, but when they repented, the Lord would forgive their sins and bring them back into the land from whence they were taken. There is no need to fear when you rely upon the promises of the Lord! Things were looking bleak for Judah; however, God had promised them that He would be with them in the land of their captivity and would bring them back into their homeland in His time. Read and believe God’s Word, and stand on His promises! ~
