An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word
July 26
SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYCome now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)
Sin has brought a terrible curse on mankind ever since the Garden of Eden. Look around you. Observe the drunkard in the gutter, or the drug addict sleeping on the streets; his once useful life is now ruined. Sin will take you further than you ever wanted to go, costing you more than you ever wanted to pay. God has a remedy for sins! Your sins can be made as white as fresh snow or a lamb’s wool. No matter how far you have fallen, God’s grace can reach down, pick you up and clean you up. He will cast your sins away from you as far as the east is from the west, and you can then sing with all your heart, “My sins are gone!” God is still calling today, “Come now, and let us reason together.” Have a talk with Him. He is reasonable! ~~~
