An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

July 21

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYRemember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; (Ecclesiastes 12:1)

If we took a poll among those in our church pews we would find that the great majority of them were saved before their adult years. With great rejoicing and fanfare we tell about those older adults who met the Lord for the first time. We recall those who had lived lives of drunkards, dope addicts, and immorality, but hardly remember the greatest conversion of all, the six-year-old who gave his heart to the Lord! When kids remember their creator in the days of their youth, not only are their souls saved, but lives are saved from ever going into the depths of sin. By the grace of God they live productive, godly lives. Remember God early in life and you will never regret it! ~~
