SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYWhatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
Ecclesiastes 9:10 is one of my favorite scripture verses. My life’s work has been guided by its advice. God is not pleased when we do things half-heartedly. From my youth I have been taught repeatedly by parents, teachers and pastors, “If it is worth doing, it is worth doing well.” The Lord’s service is the highest we can render. The King of Kings deserves our very best and His service must top our list of priorities. “Whatsoever” includes anything you do, earthly or heavenly. When there is a task before you put everything you have into it, and you will be successful. In the end, you will not regret having served the Lord with all your might. ~
