SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death. (1 Chronicles 22:5)
What will be most important to you when you are nearing the end of your life on Earth? King David’s great desire was to build a magnificent temple for his lord. After being told that his son Solomon, not he, would build the temple, David’s mission was to provide all the material that he could for the construction of the house of God, and he “prepared abundantly before his death!” If you knew that you were going to die soon, how would you prepare? First, you would want to make sure that you would go to Heaven and that there was nothing between you and God. Then, you would want to leave behind a legacy for your family and those you love, a legacy that showed your love for the Lord and a passion for pleasing Him. You would want to blaze a trail that others would follow and be blessed. One thing sure about living is that we will die. Are you preparing abundantly for death? ~~~~ DAILY BIBLE READING: 1 Chronicles 20-23
