An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYFor if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? (Esther 4:14)
Sometimes it is hard to do the right thing! When God placed Esther in such a prestigious place, He knew she would make the right decision and save her people. Esther was in the right place at the right time. God saw to that. Now it was time for her to make the decision that would either save or destroy lives. If the plan did not work, not only would the Jews die, but she would lose her life also. With the encouragement of Mordecai and at the risk of her life, Esther chose take the step that would save her people. When Martin Luther nailed his ninety-five theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany it kicked off the reformation, but cost him dearly. Doing right has never been easy, but you will be glad you did when someday you stand before God. ~~~
