An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

June 23

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYYea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work. (Nehemiah 5:16)

Many things get accomplished because of persistence. Nehemiah and his fellow workers had one thing in mind – to build the wall. Everything else came second. Satan tried to throw them off track, but they were persistent in doing God’s will. Never losing their focus, their vision soon became a reality. How many times does Satan throw us off track and we end up failing to accomplish the will of God in our lives? The devil is quite accomplished in keeping us busy in other minor things so that we major in the minors and minor in the majors. Find out what God’s will is in your life and keep that number one on your list of priorities! ~
