An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYSo built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. (Nehemiah 4:6)
Let’s talk about that dirty four-letter word: WORK. We may sit all day talking about it, but nothing will get done until we stop talking, roll up our sleeves, and put our hands to the work. Building the wall was an enormous task; nevertheless, each man built his specific section of wall, and soon the wall was finished. We need more workers and fewer shirkers. Some work harder getting out of work than they do working. God loves workers, and to the shirkers He says in His word, “If any would not work, neither should he eat.” It is no telling what the church could accomplish if we all talked less about work and started doing it! ~
