SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. (2 Chronicles 15:2)
God has promised His presence to the faithful. God sent word to King Asa that Asa could count on His presence and blessing as long as he sought Him. Most of the promises of God are conditional upon our response. For instance, salvation is promised to the whole world, but only those who repent and trust Him are saved. Likewise, God’s keeping is promised, but only those who seek Him will be kept. Asa was told that if he forsakes the Lord that God will likewise forsake him. One cannot expect God to continually bless him if he forsakes the Lord. Many examples are given in the Bible of men who turned their backs on the Lord, and after God’s plea for restoration was ignored, God departed from them. King Saul is a prime example. If you find yourself away from God ask the question, “Who moved?” ~~~
