SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYTeach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. (Psalm 143:10)
David yearned to do God’s will. His prayer, “Teach me to do thy will,” reminds us of the prayer that Jesus prayed in the garden when he cried, “Not my will, but thine be done.” It is essential that Christians understand the Lord’s will and walk in it. The Lord will teach us through His Word His general will for us, yet it takes prayer, meditation and sometimes fasting to find God’s specific will for our lives. Sometimes the Lord will draw our attention to a passage of scripture, or at other times He uses someone else to help us know His will. When we sincerely seek God’s will for our lives, He will answer our prayer in a way that we will know that it came from Him. Daily seek God’s leadership in every facet of your life, and when you find God’s will, do it! ~~~
