An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

January 29

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYAnd Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. (Exodus 14:13)

We are sometimes too busy to take the time to stand still and see God working. When your efforts fail, it’s time to look up. Moses and the children of Israel had no way out when they faced the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army behind. Moses sought the Lord, and sure enough, the Lord rose to the occasion. He parted the Red Sea for Israel, and then drowned Pharaoh and his army in the same sea. When the outlook looks dark, try the up look. God will always be there for you. You may not need a sea parted today, but if you do have a need, seek the Lord. He will surely arise and save you. ~
