An Upward Look

A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word

January 28

SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYThe LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. (Psalm 28:7)

As far back as I can remember I have enjoyed singing. My song has changed since those early days. I remember singing in talent shows songs like, ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ and ‘Blue Suede Shoes,’ but when Jesus saved me, He changed my tune. I now sing songs that will praise the Lord and will bless the listener. Not all my singing is before an earthly audience. Some of my most sacred and enjoyable songs are those I sing only in the audience of the Lord. As I drive down the highways or walk in His cathedral of nature, I sense His presence as I lift my heart and voice up to Him in sweet songs of the Savior. ~
