An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word
January 25
SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYShew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. (Psalm 25:4)
David cried out for God to teach him His way and will. He remembered the times of the past that he had not followed God’s direction, and fallen into sin. Now, he pleads that God will not remember his sin, but rather, that he might receive God’s tender mercies and lovingkindnesses. Paul said, “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” It is imperative that we human beings know what God’s will is for our lives. How do we find His will? God’s general will for all of us is found in His word. By reading, studying and meditating upon the Word we can learn much about the His will for us. God’s specific will for each individual requires much more fervent praying and seeking; however, if we are truly sincere and yielding, God will reveal His will in His time. ~~~
