An Upward Look
A Daily Devotional Observation from God's Word
April 12
SCRIPTURE VERSE FOR TODAYIn those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. (Judges 17:6)
The problem with every man doing that which is right in his own eyes is that most of us are in need of spiritual glasses. God has given us His word, the Bible. Within its pages we will find a standard with a clear set of dos and do nots. In the sixties the popular slogan emerged, “If it feels good, do it.” A man having robbed a bank might feel good with thousands of dollars of cash in his hand; however, that doesn’t make it right. Having sexual relations without the blessing of marriage might seem ok, but that does not make it right. Only the Holy Bible, not our personal feelings, should dictate our values! ~
